After graduating from Haydarpaşa Technical High School, he completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate education respectively in Gazi, İstanbul and Sakarya Universities in mechanical education and mechanical engineering departments. He studied teaching techniques and air-conditioning technology at Huddersfeld University (UK) and Eastern Florida State College (USA) for a year. He has taught refrigeration-air-conditioning courses for 30 years in the air-conditioning and refrigeration and mechanical engineering departments of vocational colleges of various universities. He is a member of ASHRAE (TC 3.3-Refrigerant Contaminant Control) and Institute of Refrigeraton (IOR). He is retired and still working as a training consultant.
